Turkish Airlines Orders 20 More A321neos

Turkish Airlines has firmed a commitment to order 20 additional Airbus A321neo aircraft, to add to 72 it already had on order, according to AirlinesAndDestinations.

The airline says it has placed the new follow-on order to boost its expansion.

On December 1, 2015, Turkish Airlines firmed a commitment for 20 Airbus A321neos into an order. The airline previously had already ordered 72 of the type

“This order for 20 more A321neo will help us achieve our expansion plans in a profitable and sustainable manner,” adds Kotil.

The manufacturer claims that to date the A320neo family has captured a 60 per cent share of the market for new-generation 150-230-seat single-aisle aircraft.
