TURKISH DEPUTIES VISITED SHEKI AND GAKH DISTRICTS
Deputy Malahat Hasanova informed correspondent of AzerTAj that the purpose of visit consists in increase of efficiency and further development on all spheres of cooperation between deputies of our brotherly countries, including the women politicians represented in our parliaments, strengthening of connections between parties in power of our countries – the “Yeни Azerbaijan” Party and Turkish Justice and Development Party.
After acquaintance with the Olympic sports complex in Sheki, the visitors arrived in the village Varazat, have visited in Chelengez the tomb of the unknown Turkish Soldier who fell in fights for freedom of Azerbaijan with overseas aggressors. Then, the visitors went to the village Kish, have visited secondary school of modern type on 640 places, constructed on behalf of the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev, in details have familiarized with Kish temple - the most ancient and unique monument of architecture of the Caucasian Albania. The pleasant impression at visitors has left acquaintance with the Palace of Khans of Sheki, historical-study of local tradition museum and the museum of national-applied art, picture gallery, masterful ornaments and the ancient hotel complex "Caravansary".
At the meeting which has been carried out in executive authority of the city of Sheki, chief executive Ashraf Mammadov warmly welcomed the visitors, in detail informed them on the history, culture, nature, economy, customs and traditions of the ancient Azerbaijan city Sheki, has told about big work carried out now on creation and accomplishment.
The Turkish guests then went to Gakh.

“We were deeply impressed in Gakh. We were admired also with the picturesque nature of this fine area, and its remarkable people. We would like to arrive once again here”.
These ideas repeatedly sounded at meetings, which the women-deputies of Grand National Assembly of Turkey have carried out in Gakh.
Chief executive of Gakh district Abbas Geyushov and representatives of the public warmly have welcomed the visitors at the entrance of district, presented them flowers, were sounded in performance of schoolboys the verses singing of friendship.
Then, the visitors came to Oghuz cemetery “Sanctuary of Haji Tapdig and Sheikh Yunis” in village Ondjalli. Turkish visitors have been informed that according to scientific researches of known Azerbaijan scientist - historian Meshadikhanym Nematova, on this cemetery, probably, there is a tomb of the known Turkish poet living in ХIII-ХIV centuries Ozan Yunis Emre.
Then, the delegation has visited the village Ilisu known for the ancient historical monuments where has carried out conversation with inhabitants of village at the memorial complex of XIX century “Besh Bulag”. Visitors have listened to performances of musical collective, local singers. They have been in detail informed on the history, outstanding persons of the district, including villages Ilisu, to them have been presented books about Gakh and booklets “Monuments of Gakh”. Having thanked the management of district for warm reception, the head of delegation Haluk Ipek has told: “We never shall forget these pleasant instants which have been carried out on the Gakh land.”
