TURKISH LABOR MINISTER MEETS CHIEF OF AZERBAIJAN`S STATE SOCIAL PROTECTION FUND
Visiting Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security, Faruk Çelik met Wednesday with Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslimov.
Muslimov updated Turkish Minister on the accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan over the recent years.
Muslimov said the State Fund cooperates with many countries. According to him, one of the Fund`s challenges is to provide with pensions Azerbaijanis living abroad. Muslimov noted integration of the pension system of Azerbaijan into the European pension system would help solve problems of Azerbaijanis living abroad and foreigners in Azerbaijan.
Muslimov said the Fund has to date registered over 1,252,000 pensioners. It makes up roughly 14.5% of population.
Faruk Celik praised the steps to further develop economic, social and cultural ties between the two fraternal countries, and positive changes taking place in Azerbaijan in recent years.
The sides decided to exchange experiences involving specialists of both countries.
