Rabat, Chouaib Brhadda, October 19, AZERTAC
Yesterday, in northern Spain, two individuals suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization "ISIS" were arrested following an operation conducted by the Spanish police in collaboration with the Moroccan General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance.
According to an official report from the Spanish police, the suspects were arrested in the cities of Itsasondo (Gipuzkoa) and Avilés (Asturias). They are accused of involvement in recruitment, disseminating terrorist propaganda, and inciting violence and terrorist acts.
The investigation revealed that the detainees had been under strict surveillance since the beginning of the year due to their suspicious activities on social media, where they spread messages supporting ISIS and encouraging violence.
The Spanish National Police confirmed that the operation, overseen by the Central Court of Instruction and coordinated with the General Prosecutor's Office of the National Court, benefited from the assistance of the Moroccan General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance. This cooperation has led to the arrest of numerous terrorists in recent years.
