UNDP AND NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT ASSIST AZERBAIJAN IN SOLID WASTE UTILIZATION

Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bagirov and UNDP resident-coordinator in Azerbaijan Bruno Pouezat signed on Thursday the document on utilization of the solid waste in Azerbaijan. UN Development Program will allot US $ 350.000, while the government of Norway - US $ 550.000.

The project, which is to be implemented within the two and a half year will assist Azerbaijan to prepare a new strategy in utilization of the solid waste. National database on structure, peculiarities and reasons of waste origin will be created in the frame of the project.

Ambassador of Norway to Azerbaijan Mr. Yon Ramberg was present at the meeting.
