UNESCO director general visits Alley of Honors

Director general of UNESCO Irina Bokova has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of the modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
She also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Mrs. Bokova was accompanied by first secretary of the Azerbaijani National Commission for UNESCO Gunay Efendiyeva and permanent representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Anar Karimov.
