Veterans of Great Patriotic War to receive one-time financial assistance
Baku, April 30 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order “On providing one-time financial assistance to participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, widows of the fighters who died during or after the war, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear”.
Under the document, veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be paid one-time financial assistance in the amount of AZN 700.
A lump sum of AZN 300 will be paid to widows of the fighters who died during or after the war, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear, employees of special forces that carried out orders in the interests of the army and navy, persons awarded the appropriate medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad, and participants of the blockade of Leningrad.
A total of AZN 7.6 million has been allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan to this end.
The Ministry of Finance is tasked to transfer the amount to the special account of the State Social Protection Fund.
