WHO SATISFIED WITH RESULTS OF COOPERATION WITH GOVERNMENT OF AZERBAIJAN
Having thanked the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan for warm reception, Mark Danson, in detail informing about the purpose of visit, has noted, that direct acquaintance with condition of the reforms conducted by the public health services of Azerbaijan, one of the developed Republic in the region, confirms that the carried out works were performed at high level. Having emphasized in particular, that the positive results achieved in struggle against such infectious and heavy diseases as poliomyelitis, malaria, tuberculosis, are worthy of high estimation, the visitor has expressed satisfaction with fruitful results of cooperation between the World Health Organization and the government of Azerbaijan.
Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, having agreed with opinion on successful continuation of reforms in system of public health services of Azerbaijan, has expressed the World Health Organization gratitude for the help and the all-round assistance, rendered for today to public health services of our Republic. At the same time, the Prime Minister has noted, that one million of our compatriots expelled from their homelands as a result of military aggression of Armenia and becoming refugees and IDPs, live in hard conditions that does not allow to solve completely problems existing in the country in the field of medicine. Then, Mr. Artur Rasizade has emphasized importance of continuation of rendering by the international structures of medical aid to this needy layer of the population until the conflict will not find the settlement.
At the meeting, passed in warm conditions, the parties had comprehensive talk on a number of other questions.
