Women’s Rights Protection Society and Azerbaijan National division of the International Human Rights Committee have held the workshop “Activity of Municipalities and Municipality Elections” in Balaken. The event financed by the Soros Foundation was attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations from Balaken, Zagatala and Gakh province. The workshop hinged on the wide range of issues such as municipalities and their work principles, Turkey’s experience in municipality management, women’s participation in municipality elections
