Working groups of Caspian littoral countries to convene in Ashgabat

Baku, December 7 (AZERTAC). Ashgabat will host a gathering of the Caspian littoral countries` working groups on December 17. Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said: “Our main goal with respect to the Caspian Sea`s status is to prepare for the next summit to be held in Russia.”

“Given that Russia and other Caspian states have great expectations from this summit, it must be excellently organized. Russia is doing its best on this front. Both Azerbaijan and other countries have held consultations with Russia. We hope that the next summit will play an important role in bringing the Caspian littoral countries closer to finding a solution to the issue,” the Deputy Foreign Minister noted.
