XVIII International Conference "Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals" in progress
Baku, June 9 (AZERTAC). The XVIII International Conference "Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals" is in progress.
Speaking on the second day of the conference, the first vice-president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade said that the successful continuation of President Ilham Aliyev's oil strategy, laid down by Heydar Aliyev, has led to the development of this sector in the country.
Speaking of achievements, he said that stocks of Shah Deniz are 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas and 240 million tones of condensate. As a result of the project, "Shahdeniz-2 production will increase to 25 billion cubic meters a year.
He also announced the completion of the reconstruction of underground gas storage facilities, construction and commissioning of the new station in the Karadag.
Along with these works, SOCAR preferred implementation of nanotechnology. SOCAR was awarded a UNESCO for these Achievements.
The vice president of geological exploration company bp-Azerbaijan Gregory Riley, General Director of the Caspian Geophysical JV Mr. Tracy Campbell, Manager of Drilling Company RWE Dea AG, Ali Huseynov, head of the drilling unit of Total exploration and production of Absheron Thomas Gauterot made speech on realizing of the potential of the Caspian Sea through technology and sustainable relationships, 3D seismic surveys in the Caspian Sea and etc.
