Baku, September 26 (AZERTAC). A delegation of the New Azerbaijan Party, YAP, led by Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov attended the 5th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The event brought together more than 70 delegations from 40 countries.

The conference focused on consequences of the global financial crisis and ways of eliminating them, women`s involvement in politics and society and the role of young political leaders.

During the visit, YAP and Kazakhstan`s Nur Otan Party signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum was signed by YAP`s Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov and Nur Otan`s Deputy Chairman Darhan Kaletayev.

In Astana Ahmadov also met Kazakhstan`s Speaker Ural Mahammadjanov to discuss relations between the two countries.
