“YOUNG LEADERS” AWARD WINNERS IN “CHILDREN’S FRIEND” NOMINATION
“Young Leaders” children’s organization has released the results of polls and monitoring to select winners in the nomination “Children’s Friend”.
Addressing the event, Head of the “Young Leaders” Farid Shahbazi said the year 2007 was very successful for safeguarding children’s rights.
According to him, about 3 thousand respondents selected Education Minister Misir Mardanov as the “Person of the Year” for the reforms implemented in the education sector. Ganira Pashayeva, Fattah Heydarov, Ulvi Guliyev, Zahid Oruj, Agil Abbas and Fuad Muradov became “Children’s Friends” for the contribution to cooperation with children’s organizations while Nizami Jafarov, Yagub Mahmudov to development of science. Milli Majlis deputy, writer Elmira Akhundova was honored for her literature services.
Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency has been awarded as the news agency of this year promptly distributing news reports about the rights and problems of child.
