Azerbaijan won two golds on first day of freestyle wrestling at Islamic Solidarity Games

Azerbaijan has won two gold medals on the first day of freestyle wrestling at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.
First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and her family members watched final bouts.
In the 57kg weight category, Mahir Amiraslanov claimed a gold medal after defeating Kazakh Jandos Ismailov.
Turkey`s Nabi Uzun and Uzbekistan`s Nodirjon Safarov won bronze medals.
Azerbaijan`s second gold in freestyle wrestling came from Nurmahammad Hajiyev in the 97kg division. Hajiyev secured the gold medal thanks to a 11-2 win over Iran`s Amir Mohammadi. Kazakhstan`s Mamed Ibrahimov and Turkmenistan`s Yusup Mezhayev won bronze medals.
First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organizing Committee, president of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehriban Aliyeva presented medals to the winners.
The state anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the national flag was raised for the Azerbaijani gold medallists.
In the 65kg class, Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Mahammad Muslimov took silver as he lost to Iranian Meisam Nasiri.
