Baku, May 23 (AZERTAC). Having made Poochie & Co's dog-bags her red carpet signature before she hit the double-digit age bracket, it was only a matter of time before Quvenzhané Wallis landed a fashion campaign.

And here she is modelling for Armani Junior - but this time with a real-life puppy for a companion.

The 10-year-old, who became the youngest ever Oscar nominee aged nine for her performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild, has been signed up by Giorgio Armani's childrenswear line, and the man himself is very taken with the young star.

"Quvenzhané is so talented despite her young age. She is a child who has the natural ability to play many different roles," Armani commented. He added: "Her kindness, curiosity and openness toward others really struck me, as they are all traits that I admire. It is for this very reason that I wanted her to be the face of Armani Junior."

Charming Wallis, who is set to play the lead part in the new adaptation of Annie alongside Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, said being chose by Armani "felt the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. Me? Wow."

Predicting how "my friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes now, for sure", Wallis's working relationship with the Italian fashion house began when she wore a custom-made navy blue gown for her to wear to the 2013 Oscars - which was accessorised with one of her beloved soft-toy dog bags, of course.

"I was honoured to wear his custom gown to the Oscars. It made me feel like a princess," said Wallis, who hails from Louisana. "When I saw Mr. Armani's Privé show in New York, the dresses were so pretty... I had too many favourites. Afterwards when I met him, I realized Mr. Armani is such a nice man."

Sounds like Quvenzhané has been bitten by the modeling bug - watch out Hailee Steinfeld and co.
