1st AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL EQUESTRIAN FESTIVAL WRAPS UP
Baku, March 25 (AZERTAC). The 1st Azerbaijan national equestrian festival, which featured several races, show jumping events and a polo tournament, has ended.
The festival was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation, ministries of youth and sports, culture and tourism and agriculture, and National Olympic Committee.
In the 1200m race of Garabagh and Dilbaz horses, Mehrab Hasanov came first with his Pegas. In English horses` 1200m race, the champion`s title was claimed by Eltur Isayev who left all his rivals behind on his Chingizkhan.
Shaki team beat Aghdam in the decisive match of the polo tournament to claim the champions` title.
Rahib Ismayilov on his Concorde won the show jumping event.
The festival`s prize money was AZN15,000 or nearly $19,000.
