Li Ming: We try to maintain and enhance our cooperation with AZERTAC VIDEO

Chief correspondent of Xinhua News Agency Georgia bureau Li Ming has said Xinhua tries to maintain and enhance its cooperation with AZERTAC as he met with its Director General Aslan Aslanov.
Mr Ming applauded the activity of AZERTAC, and stressed the importance of enhancing the relations between the news agencies. He said Xinhua plans to revive its activities in the Caucasus region and conduct organizational reforms in this regard. Developing relationship with Azerbaijan is among key priorities, he said. Mr Ming said Xinhua was ready to provide any assistance to AZERTAC in conducting trainings for its employees. He also said they were interested in implementing joint projects for expanding the information exchange and familiarize the two countries` people with the latest developments in China and Azerbaijan.
Mr Aslanov spoke of AZERTAC`s cooperation with foreign counterparts. "AZERTAC today holds chairmanship and is an active member of a number of regional and international news organizations. We will host the 16th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies and the 5th News Agencies World Congress in 2016."
He also highlighted Azerbaijani-Chinese relations. "National leader Heydar Aliyev played a crucial role in establishing the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and China. President Ilham Aliyev`s historical visit to China was of vital importance in terms of the expansion of the bilateral cooperation. Both countries have ensured stable and dynamic development in the past decade. The bilateral ties between our countries are developing and strengthening in all areas, particularly in political, economic and humanitarian ones."
Mr Aslanov praised AZERTAC`s cooperation with Xinhua. "AZERTAC attaches great importance to deepening its collaboration with Xinhua both in a bilateral format and within international organizations. This can include the exchange of information and experience, joint projects, and the updating of the bilateral agreement."
He said AZERTAC launched Chinese news service last year, adding "this creates huge opportunity for Chinese readers to become familiar with the realities of Azerbaijan".
"We also maintain close cooperation with the Confucius Institute in Azerbaijan. AZERTAC jointly with the Institute arranges Chinese language courses for its employees," the Director General added.
