There are good opportunities for expanding cooperation between AZERTAC and Jiji Press, said Director General of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov as he met with Editor-in-Chief of Jiji Press Okuyama Masashi, who will attend the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Mr. Aslanov hailed “good” partnership between the two agencies. He said AZERTAC and Jiji Press signed an agreement on cooperation and information exchange last year. “The two agencies also maintain close cooperation in the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).”
Mr Aslanov said AZERTAC will host the 5th News Agencies World Congress and the 16th General Assembly of OANA this November. “These events open up additional opportunities for our agencies to take their partnership to a new format,” he added.
Mr Masashi said he paid his first visit to Azerbaijan 25 years ago, adding that Baku has changed a lot.
He said he wants to meet with Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs.
Mr Masashi said Jiji Press was interested in expanding cooperation with AZERTAC.
Mr Aslanov expressed AZERTAC`s readiness to assist Jiji Press Editor-in-Chief in meeting with IDPs and producing a material on Azerbaijan’s realities.
