SOCAR Green and Holcim Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance renewable energy solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact of industrial operations in Azerbaijan. This partnership is focused on decarbonizing Holcim production process through renewable energy and innovative, sustainable technologies, reflecting both companies’ dedication to promoting sustainable industrial practices and reducing environmental impact.

The MOU establishes a framework for exploring renewable energy opportunities, supporting Holcim’s commitment to its global Net-Zero Pledge by 2050. To achieve these ambitious goals, Holcim is implementing industry-leading measures, including alternative fuel use, circular economy practices, and innovative carbon capture, utilization and storage technologies.
