AGREEMENT ON PROJECT KARS-AKHALKALAKI-BAKU TO BE SIGNED IN JAN
The same day, Premier of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade and Mr. Zurab Nogaideli met in private.
During the meeting in presence of delegations, Premier of Azerbaijan noted that there is necessity for frequent meetings to coordinate a number of decisions in the field of energy complex and transport, adjust the existent problems.
Strong base of the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations has been founded thanks to the firm and friendly relations between the Presidents of the two countries, Premier Artur Rasizade emphasized. Zurab Nogaideli, in turn, stated that the existent problems would be solved jointly ad in further.
Speaking to the local journalists on conclusions of the talks, Artur Rasizade informed that the documentation of the project Kars-Akhalkalaki-Baku would be completed in January next year and the sides would sign appropriate agreement.
Constructions-restoration works are to start in May.
As stated, the sides also reached an agreement on laying a new power transmission line between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Besides, Azerbaijan will take part in construction of a power station in Georgia and supply it with electricity in winter season.
Azerbaijan is also to render assistance to Georgia in gas supply in winter months.
