ANAMA: 117 mines and 2,254 UXOs neutralized over the past week

Baku, April 6, AZERTAC

From March 30 to April 5, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) carried out mine-clearance operations in the districts of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.

As a result of the operations, 83 anti-personnel mines, 34 anti-tank mines, and 2,254 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) were detected and neutralized.

Overall, a total of 2,278.1 hectares of land were cleared of mines and UXOs.
