Anglo-Azerbaijani Society Co-Chairs meet in London
London, April 2 (AZERTAC). Co-chair of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society from Azerbaijan, Professor Nargiz Pashayeva has met new British co-chair of the organization, member of the House of Lords, UK Parliament, Lord Herman Ouseley.
Held at the House of Lords, the meeting was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United Kingdom Fakhraddin Gurbanov and members of the Executive Committee of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society.
They discussed prospects for the development of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society.
They emphasized the contribution of the Anglo-Azerbaijan Society to developing relations between the two countries in the cultural and humanitarian areas.
They said there was wide potential for strengthening ties between the two countries, particularly among business circles.
Nargiz Pashayeva praised the activities of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society and its role in enhancing Azerbaijan-UK relations.
Lord Herman Ouseley said he was ready to cooperate with the co-chair from Azerbaijan to ensure expansion of the organization`s activities.
