Avitaminosis, Hypovitaminosis and Hypervitaminosis
Baku, December 1 (AZERTAC). Vitamin deficiency is a pathological condition caused by a complete lack of the vitamin. It may be caused as the (long) insufficient intake, impaired digestion, damage the intestinal microflora, impaired endocrine or uncovered an increased need (eg administration of drugs that act as antagonists of vitamins).
Vitamin A deficiency causes impairment of night vision, drying of the cornea, skin disease.
Lack of thiamine (vitamin B1) causes beri-beri.
Lack of niacin (vitamin B3) causes pellagra.
Lack of cobalamin (vitamin B12) causes anemia (Anemia).
Lack of vitamin C causes scurvy (scurvy).
Lack of calciferol (vitamin D) causes rickets (rickets).
Vitamin K deficiency causes bleeding.
The Czech Republic is deficiency disease occurs sporadically, increasing its lighter form, called hypovitaminosis.
Hypovitaminosis is a morbid condition caused by partial deficiency of a vitamin. This is a lighter form of vitamin deficiency. The Czech Republic is most common in people with inadequate food intake, the Alcoholics and in those with disease digestive tract (Malabsorption).
