AZERBAIJAN & BELARUS MINISTERS OF TOURISM SIGN AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION
On October 13, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev met with the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus Alexander Grigorov. Mr. Garayev noted that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, during his October 9 meeting with the participants of the 21st sitting of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of CIS member states stressed the need to establish stable, long-term partnership between the countries, including the tourism area.
Minister Grigorov noted Belarus has signed the agreement of tourism cooperation with 24 countries to date. President Alexander Lukashenko set a task to increase share of tourism services in the economy up to 5%.
Program of further cooperation signed by the two Ministers includes the following sections:
"Cooperation in normative-legal regulation of tourism", " Tourism resources, goods and infrastructures", " Tourism marketing", " Education and researches in tourism", " Statistics in tourism", " Cooperation within international tourism organizations", "Evaluation of 2007-2008 working program".
