Azerbaijan and Malaysia explore economic cooperation

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Malaysia Irfan Davudov met with Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Johari Abdul Ghani to discuss current economic relations and prospects for expanding trade and investment cooperation.
The ambassador highlighted Azerbaijan’s ongoing economic reforms and the development of the non-oil sector, inviting Malaysian companies to invest in the country. He also stressed the importance of reciprocal visits between government authorities and business communities to strengthen bilateral ties.
Minister Johari Abdul Ghani expressed interest in enhancing economic cooperation with Azerbaijan and pledged to take all necessary steps to expand mutual relations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Davudov also noted that Azerbaijan will host several major international events this year, including the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
