AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS: EMERGENCY MINISTRIES EXPAND CO-OP
Minister of Emergencies of the Azerbaijan Republic Kamaladdin Heydarov met with his counterpart from Belarus, Anvar Bariyev.
Mr. Heydarov noted that after gaining independence, the country has established co-op links with the developed world countries and moves ahead to integrate to Europe. At his words, President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the policy founded by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
Minister Heydarov stressed importance of the “Agreement on Cooperation” sealed between the Emergency Ministries of the two countries during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Belarus. Currently, as marked, the Agreement is successfully being implemented in both republics.
Noting that Mr. Bariyev’s visit coincided with the process of establishment of the Emergency Ministry in Azerbaijan, Heydarov said the department needs equipment and technology produced in Belarus. He expressed consent with fire safety system in Belarus, organizing revelation of radioactive substances and their elimination, numerous clothes, fire extinguishing, explore and saving remedies in this country.
Studying the experience of the Belarus colleagues will have certain positive impact on improvement of safety activities, he underlined.
Establishment of appropriate ministry in Azerbaijan will promote dynamic development in mutual cooperation, Anvar Bariyev said. The current visit and signed documents will intensify successful development of bilateral relations in this sphere, the guest noted, and invited Mr. Heydarov to visit Belarus.
The parties have signed Agreement on cooperation for 2007-2010, Regulations for working groups and other documents.
