Azerbaijan, Botswana discuss prospects for developing cooperation
Baku, February 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana Margaret Nasha to discuss prospects for developing cooperation as part of his South African tour.
Mammadyarov provided an insight into ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan, as well as Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its consequences.
The Minister emphasized the necessity of parliamentary diplomacy in terms of strengthening the ties between the two countries.
Mammadyarov noted the significance of creating inter-parliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Botswana.
Nasha pointed to Botswana`s readiness to further relations with Azerbaijan.
Nasha also stressed the importance of expanding Azerbaijan-Botswana relations.
Mammadyarov attended a session of Botswana`s parliament as part of the visit.
