Azerbaijan, China ink cooperation deal
Baku, December 5 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and China have today signed an agreement on cooperation that will see the Chinese government allocate a $4.477.611mln grant to Azerbaijan with the aim of expanding friendly, and technical and economic bonds between the two countries.
Under the 10th agreement signed between the two countries in this field, China provides Azerbaijan with a variety of equipments of its own production.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov met Chinese Ambassador to the country Hong Jiuyin.
The Azerbaijani Deputy Premier praised the bilateral ties between the two countries on all fronts. He underlined that last year saw more than $900 million trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China.
He also noted a number of Chinese companies were operating successfully in Azerbaijan, saying there was great potential to increase trade turnover between the two countries.
Chinese Ambassador Hong Jiuyin praised developing friendly and close partnership ties between the two countries.
He also noted that development of the trade ties opened new prospects for expanding the Azerbaijan-China cooperation.
