AZERBAIJAN FM MEETS WITH NEW GEORGIAN ENVOY
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Tuesday with newly appointed Georgian Ambassador in Baku Nikoloz Natbiladze to receive a copy of his credentials.
The Georgian diplomat conveyed the greetings and best wishes from his country’s FM to Elmar Mammadyarov.
Mr. Natbiladze said he is pleased to continue his diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan, and added he will make every possible efforts to contribute to the enhancement of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Elmar Mammadyarov wished the diplomat every success in his new position.
The Minister stressed the key role the two countries’ leaders played in strengthening the Azerbaijani-Georgian ties.
On the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas and Baku-Tbilisi-Qars railway projects, the FM noted they have brought the two countries closer to each other.
Mr. Mammadyarov also stressed Azerbaijan and Georgia have a high level of cooperation within GUAM.
