Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov’s visit to Kazakhstan was in the center of attention of the Kazakh media.

“Kazakhstanskaya Pravda”, “Panorama”, “Express K” and other newspapers, radio and TV channels stressed that E. Mammadyarov’s visit to Kazakhstan was an important step to expand bilateral relations. They covered the issues discussed during the meetings with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Prime Minister Karim Masimov, speaker of parliament Gasimjoberd Tokayev and Foreign Minister Marat Tajin.

In his interview to Express K newspaper, E. Mammadyarov described Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline as an important event for developing bilateral relations. He says Kazakhstan is keen on the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad projects. Head of Azerbaijani Foreign Office also told about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

Panorama newspaper says Kazakhstan’s joining Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad would allow bringing the Chinese cargoes to the European, Near East and Turkish markets.
