Azerbaijan, Indonesia to set up working group in agricultural sphere

Majnun Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, met with Berlian Helmy, Indonesia’s Ambassador to the country.
Minister Majnun Mammadov briefed the ambassador on Azerbaijan’s state support for the agricultural sector. He noted that ongoing agricultural reforms in the country are designed to further advance the sector, with various government support measures being implemented to achieve this goal.
The meeting focused on expanding agricultural cooperation, establishing a Working Group, boosting trade in high-export-potential products, enhancing business ties, supporting Indonesian entrepreneurs’ participation in Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Exhibition, transferring modern technologies, and implementing research and education programs.
Ambassador Berlian Helmy underlined that Indonesia regards Azerbaijan as a friendly nation and is committed to developing partnerships across all sectors. He pointed out the great potential for expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The parties expressed their mutual interest in further fostering agricultural collaboration.
