AZERBAIJAN IS DEVELOPING NON-OIL SECTOR
Azerbaijan is making every effort towards attracting foreign investments to non-oil sector of its economy, the country’s ministry of economic development said.
The country regards privatization as one of important steps to boost non-oil sector.
Businessmen from various countries including Turkey, Germany, the United States of America, France, China, Great Britain, Iran, Switzerland and the Netherlands have become shareholders of a number of companies in Azerbaijan placing huge amounts of investments.
In order to boost the investment flow, the country has been expanding cooperation with international organizations and financial institutions, including the United Nations, World Trade Organization, European Union, CIS, GUAM, Economic Cooperation Organization, Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Bank of Development, Islamic Development Bank, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, German KfW Bank and International Financial Corporation.
