Baku, September 10 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, customs service lieutenant-general Aydin Aliyev has received deputy director of Israeli Customs Directorate Avraham Hadad and experts - Alon Tassa, Omer Dinur and Gal Orpaz.
Aliyev hailed cooperation between the two countries, and expressed hope for further intensification of these ties.
He spoke of relations between the customs services of the two countries, prospects for cooperation, and stressed the importance of mutual activity and exchange of experience.
He underlined the agreement signed last year gave impetus to the development of relations between the custom services of the two countries.
Aliyev also informed the Israeli delegation on the history of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, as well as formalization of budget incomes, role of customs bodies to provide economic security, the application of information technologies in the system and measures undertaken to strengthen legislative base.
Mr. Hadad hailed Azerbaijan`s economic growth and all-round development, as well as economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries.
Hadad said Israel paid special attention to all-round cooperation with Azerbaijan, and stressed the importance of deepening the bilateral relationship in the field of customs.
