Baku, 9 October (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan delegation is actively involved in the 17th International Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (KIOGE 2009) which takes place at the Atakent Exhibition centre and Intercontinental Hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Speaking at the conference, Murad Heydarov, Advisor to the President, SOCAR, specified general trends of SOCAR activities and energy cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

Confirmed Azerbaijani speakers for KIOGE 2009 Conference also include Vice-President of SOCAR Mukhtar Babayev, Executive Director of BTC-Azerbaijan Ilham Nasirov and Director General of Cross Caspian Oil and Gas Logistics LLC Naila Mehrabova.

Delegation of Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) and International Media Group Caspian Energy also attend the forum.

KIOGE is Central Asia’s largest and most influential trade event for the oil and gas industry. It is the focal point for the sector in Kazakhstan and the highest profile event in the calendar for the region. KIOGE comprises an exhibition and conference and has helped to introduce more than 5,000 companies into the market, a great many of which now have well-established businesses in Kazakhstan.
