Azerbaijan, Jordan explore energy cooperation

On June 24, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with a delegation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan led by Mazen Turki Sa'oud El Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
During the meeting, the officials noted that Azerbaijan-Jordan relations, grounded in friendship and high-level political dialogue, provide a solid foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
The sides reviewed the energy export, import, and production capacities of both countries, as well as cooperation in the fields of oil and gas and renewable energy. They underscored the importance of establishing a working group to facilitate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of energy between the relevant ministries of the two countries and to identify potential areas of cooperation.
The meeting also included discussions on the latest developments in global energy markets.
