Azerbaijan, Korea explore prospects for tax cooperation

Orkhan Nazarli, Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Kang Min-soo, Head of the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea, on the sidelines of the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), held in Baku.
The meeting explored prospects for cooperation between the tax administrations of the two countries.
The sides emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in the application of digital technologies, improving the quality of tax services, and enhancing relations with taxpayers.
Orkhan Nazarli highlighted the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan’s tax system, including measures taken under the State Tax Service’s 2025–2028 Strategy, as well as progress in promoting digitalization and voluntary tax compliance.
Kang Min-soo shared insights on tax administration practices in the Republic of Korea, including the integration of digital technologies and international cooperation efforts.
