Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia discuss prospects for relations
Baku, December 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met a delegation led by Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Co-Chair of the Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Joint Commission Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al-Othman.
The Saudi Arabian Governor praised the increasing economic activity between the two countries, and hailed Azerbaijan’s well-thought-out and continues policy carried out in this field.
Elmar Mammadyarov noted that the visit of the Saudi Delegation led by Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al-Othman to Azerbaijan would give a new impetus to expanding ties between the two countries.
The Minister said the trip would serve for the creation of the wide opportunities for investments in both countries.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov briefed the Saudi delegation on the regional projects.
The FM also spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying Armenia’s aggressive policy negatively impacts on the development of the region.
Mr Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al-Othman also noted that there were wide opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
