Azerbaijan takes part in 3rd International Youth Forum in Grozny
Moscow, November 27 (AZERTAC). The 3rd International Youth Forum - the “New Generation: Responsibility without borders” takes place in Grozny, the Chechen Republic of Russia.
Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev.
The main purpose of the forum, organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Azerbaijani National Council of Youth Organizations, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Chechen Ministry of Youth and the Russian National Council of Children and Youth Organizations, is to develop friendship and cooperation between youth representatives of neighboring countries, to support an intercultural dialogue, to increase the responsibility of the younger generation in the peaceful and sustainable development in the region, to resolve conflicts, to create and to distribute the information.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Russian state agencies and the governments, working with youth, NGO leaders, socially active young people, young scholars and researchers, talented and creative young people participate in the forum.
A cultural evening with participation of talented young musicians of the two countries was organized as part of the event.
The event participants visited the Memorial of Glory named after the first President of the Chechen Republic, the Hero of Russia Ahmad Kadyrov and laid flowers at the memorial.
After the opening ceremony, a plenary session was held on the theme “Russian-Azerbaijani youth cooperation: current situation and prospects of development".
The meeting was addressed by Chairman of the Parliament of Chechnya Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev and others.
The forum participants will also discuss the interaction of youth organizations in Azerbaijan and Russia, state youth policy in the two countries, intercultural dialogue among youth and other topics. The program also provides for round tables and an excursion around Grozny and cultural evening featuring young musicians between the two countries.
The forum will end on November 28.
The first and the second International Youth Forum “New Generation: responsibility without borders” were held in Baku in 2011 and 2012.
