AZERBAIJAN, UKRAINE TO COOPERATE IN SOCIAL SECURITY FIELD
In Alley of Honors the visitors revered memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev, have assigned wreath at his tomb.
Then, the meeting took place in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic.
In meeting, discussed was the state of execution of the cooperation agreements signed between the ministries, the work done for today in the field of social protection of the Azerbaijan and Ukrainian migrants.
Minister Fizuli Alakbarov has noted close relations between the ministries, and that as a result of joint efforts arising problems find solution. He emphasized, that it became possible owing to the friendship established during mutual visits of the heads of state.
In detail informing the Ukrainian visitors about the successful reforms which have been carried out last years in Azerbaijan in the field of labor and social protection of the population, and their results, the Minister has told about the work directed on the organization of the address social assistance in the country, poverty reduction. F. Alakbarov has emphasized, that the special attention in our country is given to provision of the population with work. With this purpose, in republic for last three years it has been opened more than 500 thousand new workplaces, he stated.
Mikhail Papiev has expressed satisfaction with contacts between two countries and has in detail told about the ministry supervised by him, its structure and activity. The visitor has noted that in Azerbaijan, unlike Ukraine, the basic attention for liquidation of poverty is given to employment, and it deserves approval. He told: “In Ukraine, we try to solve the problem by increase of pensions and grants. Certainly, it cannot bring long-term positive result. It is necessary for us to use positive result. We have to certainly benefit of the experience of Azerbaijan.
In meeting, also were held discussions about creation of joint working group on cooperation between the ministries in the field of labor and social protection.
