Azerbaijani Ambassador holds several meetings in Angola
Baku, June 6 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Ambassador to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Angola Elkhan Polukhov has held a number of meetings in the capital of the country Luanda.
Polukhov met Angolan Minister of Culture Roza Cruz de Silva.
They discussed how to establish cultural relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador noted Azerbaijan became a center of the intercultural dialogue in recent years and invited the Minister to visit Azerbaijan to attend international cultural events.
The diplomat also gave information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and spoke of the cultural, historical, and religious monuments destroyed as a result of the Armenian vandalism in the occupied Azerbaijani lands.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador also met State Secretary of the Angolan Ministry of External Relations Manuel Dominguez.
Manuel Dominguez spoke of his working visit to Baku, as well as meetings held as part of the visit.
Polukhov highlighted the great potential for the establishment of the bilateral ties between the two countries in the fields of economy, politics and culture.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador also met Angolan State Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Antonio Miguel Andre.
