Azerbaijani Ambassador meets President of Jordanian Senate
Baku, January 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Sabir Aghabeyov has met President of the country`s Senate Abdur-Ra’uf Rawabdeh.
During the meeting, they discussed the current state of relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
The diplomat presented Azerbaijan's Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov's congratulatory letter to Rawabdeh for his appointment as the Senate President.
The two also discussed the future activity of the Jordan-Azerbaijan Brotherhood Committee operating in the Jordan Senate and the approval of its new members.
Rawabdeh thanked for the congratulatory letter and said new members of the brotherhood committee will be approved soon.
The Senate President also recalled his visit to Azerbaijan on April 23-29, 2012, and hailed his meetings and discussions during the trip.
He praised the development of relations between the two countries, noting Jordan is always ready to support Azerbaijan`s stance.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador thanked Rawabdeh for adopting a statement on Khojaly genocide by the Jordan Senate.
