Azerbaijani Ambassador meets President of Luxembourg`s Chamber of Deputies
Luxembourg, February 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Belgium with concurrent accreditation to Luxembourg and head of the country`s permanent representation to the European Union Fuad Isgandarov has met President of Luxembourg`s Chamber of Deputies Mars Di Bartolomeo.
Isgandarov handed over a congratulatory letter of Azerbaijani Parliament`s Speaker Ogtay Asadov to Mars Di Bartolomeo on his election as President of Luxembourg`s Chamber of Deputies.
The Ambassador stressed the role of the interparliamentary relations in development of the bilateral cooperation.
He also invited the President of Luxembourg`s Chamber of Deputies to visit Azerbaijan.
He briefed Mars Di Bartolomeo on the country`s achievements gained over the last years, adding Azerbaijan played the role of a bridge between Europe and Asia.
The diplomat said Azerbaijan was interested in developing comprehensive cooperation with Luxembourg.
“Reciprocal visits will give a push to development of the interparliamentary ties.”
Mars Di Bartolomeo, in turn, said Luxembourg was interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.
The Ambassador also highlighted Azerbaijan`s relations with neighbours, as well as regional energy and infrastructure projects, the threats and challenges in the region caused by the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
