Azerbaijani ambassador meets Speaker of Lithuanian Seimas
Vilnius, November 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade has met Speaker of the Seimas of the country Loreta Graužinienė.
They discussed the Azerbaijani-Lithuanian relations, inter-parliamentary ties, as well as cooperation within regional and international organizations.
Mr. Mammadzade praised inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of development of the cooperation on all fronts.
The diplomat stressed the necessity of strengthening the activities of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups in terms of expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
Loreta Graužinienė expressed regret that a group of deputies of Seimas of Lithuania had taken the unpleasant steps that can harm the relations with Azerbaijan, saying she believes the parliamentarians wouldn`t repeat such cases in future.
The two also discussed Loreta Graužinienė`s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan in 2014.
