Azerbaijani artist's work ranks first in U.S.

The artwork by Azerbaijani artist Vugar Guliyev, who currently lives and works in the U.S., was awarded the first place in an art exhibition organized in Washington.
About 800 paintings from Virginia and Maryland, as well as the capital Washington were submitted to the competition at the prestigious 2026 Regional Juried Exhibition organized by the Hill Center. The Azerbaijani artist's oil painting "Astral Drift" was selected among 124 pieces.
Vugar Guliyev was presented with a certificate and an award at the exhibition.
The selected works will be on display at the Old Naval Hospital until May 3.
