Azerbaijani chess players win gold medals at Batumi Municipality Cup-2016

Baku, July 13, AZERTAC

Azerbaijani chess players Raul Mukhtarov and Fikrat Mustafazade have scooped the gold medals at the 2nd International Chess Festival Batumi Municipality Cup 2016.

Raul Mukhtarov earned 8 points after 9 rounds in U8 boys’ event to win gold among 25 players, while Fikrat Mustafazade gained 7,5 points in U10 boys’ event among 54 players.

The tournament brought together 339 players, including 9 grandmasters and 12 international masters.
