Azerbaijani companies to be more active in Serbia, Serbian FM
After the meeting, the sides held a press conference.
Azerbaijan and Serbia have strategic partnership relations and stand for developing their bilateral cooperation, Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić said during the press conference.
Dačić stressed that despite the political will, the economic cooperation between the two countries doesn't correspond to their potential and called on Azerbaijani companies to be more active in the Serbian market
“It is planned to hold a business forum and negotiations between Azerbaijani and Serbian governments in the near future,” the deputy prime minister added.
Touching the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Mammadyarov said the aggressor should withdraw its troops from the occupied Azerbaijani lands.
The trade turnover between the two countries stood at $2.68 million or 0.015 percent of the total volume of Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Serbia has decreased by 18.6 percent compared to the same period of 2013.
