AZERBAIJANI DELEGATION ENDS WORKING TRIP TO ESTONIA AND LATVIA
Azerbaijani delegation led by Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev ended a four day-trip (January 21-24) to Estonia and Latvia.
The delegation included representatives of Ministry for Economic Development, Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation, Azerbaijan Investment Company and 10 other companies.
During the trip to Estonia, Minister Babayev met with some officials of this country, including Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, parliament’s vice-speaker Jüri Ratas, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet, Minister for Economy Yohan Pats and others.
Mr. Babayev discussed prospects of ties and cooperation between the two countries.
As noted Estonia and Azerbaijan have real potential for further development of cooperation.
Within the trip, Mr. Babayev met with heads of Azerbaijani-Estonian joint venture Caspian Group, ship-building company BLRT Group and investment bank Baltic to exchange views on investment into Azerbaijan’s economy, joint efforts for cooperation and etc.
On January 23, Azerbaijan-Estonia Business Forum was held in Tallinn.
Various companies dealing with agriculture, industry, banking and other areas represented Azerbaijan at the forum.
About 40 Estonian businessmen, as well as Minister of Economy Yohan Patsin and President of Commerce and Industry Chamber Toomas Luman attended the event.
On January 24, Minister Babayev met in Riga with Latvian Minister of Economy Kaspars Gerhards to discuss ways of boosting current economic relations between the two countries.
