The Azerbaijani delegation has presented a picture of the Bibiheybat oil well to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on the sidelines of the 4th meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC ministers in Vienna.

The Azerbaijani delegation provided information on the Bibiheybat well, the world`s first mechanically drilled oil well which is located in Azerbaijan.

Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said the country has remained committed to its obligations since the adoption of the OPEC non-OPEC Declaration of Cooperation, the initiative of which Azerbaijan was also one of the active participants.

On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani minister proposed holding a meeting of the OPEC and non-OPEC ministers in Baku.
