Azerbaijani Deputy Premier meets Israeli ambassador
Baku, July 3 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDP Affairs and the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Ali Hasanov has met Israeli ambassador to the country Rafael Harpaz.
They said the bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel was based on a solid foundation.
The meeting also featured discussions over the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and conditions of the persons who became refugees and IDPs as a result of the dispute, as well as the works done under orders signed by President Ilham Aliyev in terms of solution of their problems.
Ali Hasanov expressed regret over Armenia’s destructive position on the negotiations which impede the settlement of the dispute, inactivity of the international organizations and states involved in settlement of the conflict, double standards led to injustice and other issues.
Ali Hasanov said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev supported the peaceful settlement of the conflict in compliance with the norms of international law.
They also discussed ways to settle the dispute and expressed dissatisfaction that there were no progress in activity of the OSCE Minsk Group during the past period.
The Israeli ambassador hailed ongoing economic development processes in Azerbaijan, works done to improve social conditions of refugees and IDPs.
They also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
