Azerbaijan`s economic development minister Heydar Babayev met Wednesday with Austrian federal minister of economics and labor Martin Bartenstein as part of his visit to Vienna.

The Azerbaijani minister said Martin Bartenstein`s last year trip to Baku gave the impetus to developing economic relations and increasing trade between the two countries.

The two ministers highlighted bilateral energy cooperation between their countries.

They also said the implementation of the Nabucco project will be a great contribution to providing the European energy security.

They also exchanged views on political relations between Azerbaijan and Austria, the situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, and ongoing economic processes in the world.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria Fuad Ismayilov was present in the meeting.
